CRYSTALLINE AND TURQUOISE AQUIFER

In our Crystalline Aquifer, you can not only enjoy a revitalizing bath in its cold, rejuvenating waters (an experience we recommend to engage your sense of touch), but also use your sense of SIGHT to observe that:

Aquifer water is so clear and crystalline because it is naturally filtered through layers of earth, sand, and rock, which trap impurities and purify the water. Additionally, limited exposure to air and sunlight prevents microorganism growth, adding to its transparency. Together, these factors ensure that aquifer water is often purer than many surface water sources.

The turquoise hue sometimes seen in aquifer water results from sunlight refraction and dispersion. The water absorbs longer wavelengths like red, orange, and yellow, while reflecting shorter ones like blue and green. When very pure and containing dissolved minerals, like calcium carbonate, this effect is enhanced, giving it a characteristic turquoise color. The water’s clarity lets light penetrate deeply, amplifying this tone.

We invite you to take in that light, that color…a feast for the eyes.

“El agua clara vuela
bajo el sol que despierta,
y es espejo del cielo
que en su quietud refleja.

Turquesa en sus entrañas,
se desliza y no cesa,
lleva un canto en su paso
y su rumor se aleja.”
